Taxi Metropolis functions as a simulator of a modern chauffeur transporting customers across a vast city filled with hotels, skyscrapers, and strangely empty streets. This lack of pedestrians is not a concern because, much like a contemporary driver—although it is unclear whether he truly works as a taxi driver due to the co-driving feature—our playable character uses a mobile Taxi app to find passengers. You might ask how and why he chose this occupation. The answer is simple: like many young people, he developed a passion for driving after earning his license at an early age and wished to spend as much time behind the wheel as possible. As a result, he leased a car, registered with the Taxi app, and began working. This marks the beginning of the main storyline, in which our gaming protagonist has to earn enough money to pay his vehicle installments, running costs, and various everyday expenses. Most importantly, he must also save up to improve his current car and purchase newer, more luxurious, and faster vehicles that are more exciting to drive.
